The problem is i own one pc that have the worst ping time and also times out..Its not the cable modem hooked straight up to a different pc i receive 10 ms - 20ms with no request timed out.. With the 2nd i catch 750 ms - 1250ms and a lot of time outs. Same modem and same cat 5... on the second laptop i ran updated virus scan..Ad ware ...bypassed nic card.. With usb... still same results... disabled adjectives firewalls, Norton virus, reset the pc final to earlier date... cleaned cookies reset the make friends settings i am at a lost any other ideas? Without wipe the hard drive.. They are not hooked up surrounded by a network... one be a laptop i brought over to test the internet nouns. this started a few weeks ago with slow ping speeds. I delete all programs that hold been installed surrounded by the last month?

without doubt there is no problem beside your computer. the problem may be with the rj45 cable thorough wihich u r connecting to second computer. recrimp the rj45 cable. more over i suggest you to hold 2 network cards within the first system then share the internet nouns instead of changing the line. if you do how i said u can browse internet on both systems at same time , or else if u dont hold finance problems within buying a router just do that. i.e. best option.
check ur rj45 cable if the cable length is more than 15 feets to the 2nd system from the cable modem tolerate me tell u that standard cable length between cable modem and the sytem is 1.5 mtrs dont hold on to ur modem far from the system.
