Pls scan your PC thoroughly in not detrimental mode .
This is definitely due to virus problem. Once you know the virus baptize, download the fix tool for the same on mcafee.com or symantec.com and run the fix tool to remove the virus.
Download recent "Stinger.exe" [ from mcafee.com]. This is a virus removal too which covers give or take a few 40 to 45 viruses. Is is released may be once contained by a month.
If OS is win xp, then beneath system properties, you SHOULD check the system restore so that virus do not come to the PC soon after the removal.

Hmm, not much info here, buy my guess would be a problem with the adherent on your processor. After about an hour beside no cooling, overheating occurs, and the failsafe apparatus causes a shutdown.
I would be strongly convinced this is the problem, if the following happen: Start your system, and expect it to fail after an hour. Immediately restart it, and check how long it take to shut down again. I would expect that it doesn't run longer that 10-15 minutes (because the processor is still hot, and quickly overheats again).
Regardless, you probably stipulation some professional help near your machine. No indignation, but if you don't have the tech savvy to diagnose this problem, you probably won't be capable of fix it yourself, either.
I have a sneaking suspicion that its software problem.
