What species of specs a desktop computer will hold within 2010 for $1000.00 bucks?

Answer:
It will not be anything really strange.

Processor is hard to read aloud because they are currently developing some new types of processors witch are really not within the clear. For example GPU/CPU in one chip and quad cores so that's really tough to judge right very soon.

4GB of ram possibly some 8GB perhaps.

Hard drives dimensions will probably be about indistinguishable giving the fact that most PCs will probably hold two of them. but a new type of tricky drive called a Ready Drive are within the making witch will greatly improve firm drive performance.

Video cards will be pretty more powerful for the buck. Probably 1-2GB and around 24+ pipelines for low end cards.

Some PCs will probably enjoy the option of HD-DVD or blueray drives.

Windows vista will be out.

Other afterwards that basic design will be impossible to tell apart and the average PSU (Power supply unit) will probably have around 200 more watts consequently to days average.

P.S melanchol does not know anything. lol windows vista will be out in the next 3 months to 1 year. Its minimal specs are nil to what he has posted or I own posted. Most off the shelfs PCs within todays world can run vista.

The whole 6TB knotty drive from the post above mine is pretty absurd. I did not make available them a thumbs down someone else did that. Why? Because even in todays world a 750GB knotty drive is hard to clear and they think they can brand name hard drives that hold 20-40% more room within the subsequent 2 years. So thats only more or less 2TB top. So in charge for a PC to have just about 6TB it would need 3 thorny drives witch right now 95% sour the shelf PCs only hold 1 hard drive. So I find it tremendously hard for a PC inwardly the next 5 years to enjoy any ware near 6TB even near 2 hard drives.
I dont know..But I guarantee its gonna be in a hurry..Lots of Gigabytes...Great video cards...Sllimmer Pc's, Bigger Monitors, More MOney, Less Noise, EVEN cooler than now.
The specs will contest the minimum specs for Windows Vista which will then be due out by October 2010. They are

4 GHz Quad core CPU
8 GB RAM
6 TB HDD
16x UHD-DVD (Ultra High-Density DVD - 3x the dimensions of HD-DVD) recorder
8 USB 3.0 ports
"High-speed" Wireless USB
10Gb Ethernet
1Gb Wireless Network
Quad-core 3D accelerated graphics adapter next to 4Gb RAM
I think Sara have the right idea. almost 4-8 GB for the ram because it will be nearly 6 months before 4 GB start to become popular. And yes near is no way here will be more then 2 TB concrete drives before 2010. I can see computers using multiple complicated drives obtaining upwards of 6 TB but 6 TB from one or two strong drives is very unlikely.
It won't event...it still won't play the newest Battlefield hobby on high settings!
