So the power go out and my PC shut stale. When I try to start it, the power supply make a unbelievably soft hum...?

... but nil powers up or lights up or anything. I bought a new power supply and installed it and duplicate thing... a soft hum, but no power. Any thoughts?! Thanks!

sounds resembling the mobo is fried .. i would move the pc and try it on another outlet first a short time ago for kicks ...
Sounds similar to time to replace the motherboard. The power outage most likely undermined something.
agreed im come across problems like this repeatedly and unless u got a draw full of spairs its exceedingly hard 2 determine whats rong

also if ur not using a on the ship graphics chip it might be graphics card

i 1s had a problem similar to this took me over a week to solve i thought it was mother board ordered a tentative 1 still didnt work tried every thing no luck turnt out the mother board the shop have sent me was limp on a arrival and it was the mother board adjectives along lol

a pc is roughly speaking lb300 for a bottom range workstation a mother board a cheap 1(low range) is bout lb28

Buying a complete new motherboard is more expensive (or simply as) than buying a new computer. I'd step with that.

But first, unfurl her up and see if you see anything messed up.
i would say that you stipulation to replace the motherboard. or get a foreign computer...
