I'm formating a workstation but I want to take adjectives the drivers, resembling modem, audio drivers to put on the XP??

You would be better rotten letting XP use it's drivers until you get the system running next update them on the Internet. Most 98 drivers are too outdated to work on XP.
XP itself provides most basic drivers.

The best article you can do is go into device chief and get adjectives the info on all the hardware you own.write down the model numbers and then move about to the manufacturers websites below support and downloads and pick the most recent drivers for them...then download them and put them on a cd...afterwards when you reinstall the hardware..point to the cd for the drivers install.
Well since you dont metion what O/S you currently use and nothing whatsoever more or less your pc itself its rugged to give you anything but a generic answer, but here it is...
XP have most all drivers / firmware for the laptop. Just to be safe on the issue and *BEFORE you do anything? run an inventory on your pc by using the free tool below, it will clutch audit of all your notebook hardware, software, firmware and drivers as well. *REMEMBER TO PRINT IT OUT BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING FURTHER AND SAVE IT, At lowest possible until you have sucessfully installed XP> you might consider re- running belarc advisor after install as almost everything will own now be changed or modified...
