What are the probability of wipe your concrete drive when DUAL BOOTING UBUTNU EDGY EFT?

here are my system specs:
Dell Dimension 2400
250 gb HDD 100 gb Free
512 MB RAM
FX 5200 video card
Windows XP home
Intel P4 2.53ghZ

you won't wipe the HD from only just dual booting
Remove your windows drive, install Ubutnu on a second hdd.
use F8 on startup (or anything boot options switch is on your system) to chose which hdd to boot from. Should be ok.

If you do not want to get a second hdd I would recomend partitioning your current 1 into 2 section.
