Are here special motherboards for micro-ATX form factor casing?
I read in some specifications that an ATX cover can use a micro-ATX form motherboard. Can a micro-ATX form factor casing use an ATX motherboard?
Additional: If you can include - please specify an ECS, MSI or Asus motherboard and model.
Thanks! =)
Answer:
Any of those companys carry micro atx form, the lone difference between a micro atx and an atx is the number of pci slots and the micro atx has 1 pci express slot as within the atx has conceivably 2 pci express slot and double the pci slots the micro atx has. Those desktops you see at the library or any hp, dell, gateway ,emachines, they adjectives use micro atx motherboards.
Go to tigerdirect.com and go to motherboards and specifiy what form factor you want and turn upside down from there..
There is no agency for ATX motherboard to fit into mATX formfactor. ATX motherboard is meant individual for standard ATX casing. In length, mATX will be too small for ATX motherboard. For more infomations about motherboard and Chasis you can check out this website:

For recommendation for mATX motherboard will depend on whether you're going to setup AMD or Intel based system.
For Intel base LGA 775:
MSI G965M-FI
Asus P5B-VM i965G
Both boards equipped with up-to-the-minute 965 Chipset and supports Intel Core 2 processors.
For AMD based AM2 platform:
MSI K9NGM-L
Gigabyte M61PM-S2
Check these boards out! I'm recommend MSI as I'm MSI user. Quite satisfied next to their products. =)
