Can you play Windows XP games on a Vista PC?
Answer:
Hi
Has an MCSE , i can relay you that NO , most games are still with XP files made . That channel that vista may or may not run it depending on the direct x they are made for , like for instance if you enjoy a game decision uses direct 8 or lower then you may enjoy problems , VISTA comes with direct 10 , need is NOT with the xp even so , now it also depends on the team game it self , first download ANY updates the games have BEFORE even install it
Depends on the activity. Search the manual to see compatibilities.
yes at hand on it but most xp games will work
Yep they work
Every game should work if you run it within Windows XP compatibility mode.
i think so , u in general can play games on newer windows from ripened ones but u cant play games for new window on old window
eg windows 98 games on window xp but not windows xp games on window 98 hope it helps
I can speak about you now that they dont adjectives work, properly anyway. I was running vista for a few weeks and I found that to seize any games to work I needed to install direct x9c over 10, and when I did get the winter sport running it did not run some effects in the spectator sport properly, smoke ect. This was when compatibility mode be switched to xp. Vista is not worth running at the moment. I would say lurk 6 months, by then patch should be available for most games.
It depends on the game.
You must, however, disable the aero piece in Vista or lose 15% observation due to the added strain on the video card.
Microsoft's development troop announced this a while ago.
