How can I find out what the computer is running at "Start Up"?

Start up is slowing down. Could here be too much trying to run. Can I shut some down?

Start --> Run --> Type in msconfig --> OK --> Click on the Start up tab

uncheck anything you don't want to start upon start up

You can do ctrl+alt+delete, but if you want to keep hold of them from starting up every time do what I said. If you do ctrl+alt+delete, you will have to do it every time your computer starts up.
Go to "Start", "Run", afterwards type in "msconfig", click on the start up tab and see what programs are running when your PC starts up. Uncheck the ones you don't want to run.....Make sure that you uncheck the right ones, this could be tricky, you might uncheck a program that you want at start up.

You can always write down those programs that start up and ask an IT expert too to be sheltered.
follow these steps
1. click start
2. click run
3. type in msconfig press enter
4. click start up
5. analyze and verify adjectives programs listed
6. uncheck the ones you don't want to start beside windows
7. check the ones you do want to start
8. click apply
9.click ok
10. restart your computer

You should concentration a difference in start up time

Here's some quick places to look. I'm assuming that you're using a text of Windows like XP. If not, please post more details. Meanwhile, click START, RUN and type msconfig and hit ENTER. This will present you a list of startup items. Be sure to appropriate note of your change, or better yet, create a Restore point. To see what's running, hit CTL-ALT-DELETE once to see the register. Chances are, several of the icons subsequent to the time in your lower right eyeshade, can be eliminated. All I hold in my system tray is the Antivirus (DON'T USE NORTON), the firewall (DON'T USE NORTON), my printer, and my speaker god. I have 99% of my resources available on boot.

uncheck the things which you dont watn...
first, go to start, click run type within msconfig go to the tab that say start, and find some programs that are running at start up and uncheck the check marks, mind not to uncheck important microsoft/windows items this should correct the problem
