The CD-ROM drive on my computer is not using any system resources. How can I fix this?

I am guessing how you find out its not using the resources since CD drives are plug n play and will other work. If you meant that its not powering on and running. Then you should absolutely check the power inlet in your drive and plug it firmly beside a firm press.
Why dont you go out and spend money on tech support, I see you have your mouth open to examine about someone trying to play dvds. give somebody a lift your pc to a tech no freebie give support to for you
