If you are running ANY version of NORTON AntiVirus or Semantec software that could be your problem. My wife a moment ago got a unknown laptop in october and by december it be already slowing down. Come to find out Norton has a MAJOR memory bleed problem. It ends up consuming ALL your Proccessor usage. Check your windows errand manager (cntrl - alt - del) and goto the processes tab if nearby is an item -- can't remember the name-- using almost to all processor % or fluxing to & from total usage later its Norton. Goto Semantec website and download the removal tool and run it. This should restore your speed!!
