USB hm... if it doesn't come with the motherboard
and you have to put in a pci card for it later you will need a drive for it
if it is built into the motherboard after that USB is dead
jump back and double check your USB nouns. It may be loose, or off a pin
In the CMOS menu set it see and after you boot up install driver for it.
If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem beside device drivers, hardware or software.
