I contracted I would take two old-fashioned computers, and put them together to make one "super" elderly computer. Well first I decided to try and install a disc Burner into what I will call desktop A. I turned it on and it worked perfectly- getting the hang up of this hard ware item. Next I took the one stick of RAM out of computer B, and put it into computer A (as I was instructed, I have it in mind that is pretty simple.) Lastly I took the 12 see Hard drive out of B and installed it in the extra Hard drive slot surrounded by desktop A. Everything went smoothly. I go to turn on my new super computer, and it showed the usual computer create screen, and afterwards it goes black and give me the message: Disk Boot Failure - Insert system disk and press enter. I am guessing it is having trouble next to two hard drives, both running 98 SE. I integer I have to format one or something, but I am unsure how to if I have need of to. Or if I even need to. Help?

Make sure the first knotty drive is set on master and then the second firm drive on slave.you can do this with the jumper on the back of the rugged drives.Also you may have to budge into the BIOS and enter your hard drive info it should read out this on the top of the hard drive ("cylinders" Heads" etc..) The elder BIOS doesn't always auto detect them
THE HD IS NOT COMPATIABLE WITH THE MOBO SO NOW U HAVE TO FIND ONE THAT IS .... AND MAKE ONE OF THE HDS A SLAVE IN THE PIN SETTINGS
If the "new" drive shares a cable beside the original hdd, set it as slave as they probably both are set master. If sharing the cd cable, you are better to set the cd to slave. This is done near jumpers on the final of the drive, there should be a sticky label on top showing how. Do NOT touch the jumper on the inspired, this upsets the boot and the Windows configuration.
