Computer won't finish start up?

Boot sector could be diluted. If Win XP, try to repair w/ this:

If this does not does not work, HDD could be defective.
HD damanged or else virus.
Either route, try rebooting in safemode.
Else bring to a computer tech and ask for them to backup your background and fix the comp.
hi butterfly, your windows operating system have lost essential files or has be corrupted. i hope you have your seizure cd.
first, boot the computer and start pressing F-10 till it takes you into your BIOS. muzzle around there until you find the test of where to boot your computer from. see the D: drive, save. afterwards reboot the pc next to disk 1 in the cd rom. to start the retrieval. it will reload windows at the cost of your files i'm afraid. i hope you backbone up, or save to disk, your significant things. after windows is installed and your adjectives up and running again, remove the cd, reboot the computer, start hitting F-10 again to return to the BIOS, then reset the workstation to boot from the hard drive (C:)...remember to let go. i hope this helped.
