How can you free system memory on a desktop computer?
Answer:
I don't consider freeing up you memory will help much considering you enjoy a bare minimum amount. You want to seriously consider more memory, about 1 GB will do appropriate if your mother board will take it. Check near a friend that is conversant in the paddock first or take to local computer store.
P.S. I would utter that 1 GB memory is about the standard at the present time, I use 2 GB DDR2. If you can't spend the cash at smallest get up to 512 MB somehow. You will perceive more difference with more memory.
click start, run, type msconfig, click ok, on top click startup tab, budge down list and uncheck whats not required with starting xp. apply ok and restart ur notebook...
It sounds like you might be mistaking System Memory beside Hard Drive space.they sound equal...but they are very different.
Your Hard Drive is where on earth all of your files and programs are stored.when you remove programs...the amount of free space on your complex drive will increase.(usually drastically)
System Memory (RAM) is different.and also a little more difficult to increase.you can try disabling any sympathetic programs...and programs from starting up with window.but this will only provide you so much.what you need to do is buy more memory for your computer. In directive to make sure that you choose the correct memory for your computer you will entail to check the specifications of your computer (you can do this through the manufacturer's website usually) and purchase the corresponding RAM.
You may also want to consider upgrading your video card.many Onboard Video cards Share system memory and in fact make window think that in that is less RAM contained by your computer than there certainly is.for example.if you have 256 mb push...but 32 mb is shared...windows see 224mb ram.

Sorry to break the bad communication.but there is neutral at the end of the tunnel...
ably you could go into my computer consequently double click on your hard drive and delete adjectives the applications you don't want. Then i would reccomend you to download a program called ccleaner (www.ccleaner.com) run this cleaner and after youve run the cleaner run the issues this should free up some space p.s ccleaner is free
