Any computer rare talent out within?
Answer:
The most likely problem (other than it is ME) is that the drivers for the graphics card own become corrupted or somehow got delete.
Go into your device manager and look for the display adapter. See if it have a problem (Yellow!). Even if it shows it is ok, you should re-install the driver. You probably will need the ME disk and own your computer search for the driver on the disk.
Or find out the moniker of the graphics card and download the driver from the Internet and Install it.
HAVE YOU UPDATE YOUR COMPUTER !?
Upgrade to Vista.
if its only get win 2000 it wont run vista
It appears to be a driver problem, reinstall the video drivers.
If that doesnt help, later its more than likely a tattered file contained by wondows itself, but is easily repairable beside a windows disk, and does not require you to reinstall window.
Well, first off... Windoes ME is by far the worst OS that Microsoft have made. Win 98SE (second edition) Is actually better. But what it sounds similar to to me is, one of two things. Either the video card is on it's way out... or the driver have been updated for it, and it is not the right driver. If you know what brand of video card is, move about to the manufactures net page and see if you can download the newest driver for it and install it. If you enjoy the newest driver, after try to "back rev" it. Do you still hold the system drivers cd that came beside the computer? You can pop that in the cd rom and see if you can rear legs rev it that way... Uninstall the current video driver and install from the drivers cd.
Ultimatly, I would look into getting your hand on a copy of Windows 2000 or better yet... XP and dump the Windows ME.
That problem occur frequently with window Me, along with a complete mess of problems. I suggest updating to XP
ask your family member who know a good computer repair soul.

i think its a simple problem just about ur monitor. but do mention your monitor brand. all adjectives brands have DEGAUSS chance in menu of the monitor. best of luck
Not the answer that you're going to want to hear, but the best point you can do is get rid of ME. :) Windows ME be notorious for have problems and didn't last hugely long in the bazaar.
I honestly don't have too much experience next to ME (intentionally!), but if you don't want to spend the money for an upgrade, you may need to provide some more information past anyone would be able to accurately assist you. First thought: it's a video card driver issue - try to download and reinstall the drivers from the video card (or computer brand) company's website
Press F8 on boot up and select boot window from last specified configuration that worked.
First, it's looks like there's some confusion so you could be running one of two version of Windows - either Windows Millenium Edition (Windows Me) or Windows 2000 Professional.
Once a system have been passed to not detrimental mode, at times it can be difficult changing your color settings from 16 colors (your eyeshade colors look very wash out and icky) back to something more pallatable close to 256 or 64k colors.
If you have ample technical savvy, you may be capable of identify and reinstall your display drivers, but you have to fashion sure you get the correct ones for any Windows Me or Windows 2000.
You still have to reboot between colors change, so be prepared for some sighs and sounds of frustration.
Hope this helps a bit.
Scan for virus.
In safe mode up date the drivers for your video card. Then go and get a copy of XP and install it. XP is much better then ME.
