Trouble during startup?

Today my computer started have problems regarding startup that it have never experienced before.
I hold been on spring break for a week and back I left my computer be fine, and when I returned yesterday it had no problems starting up. (No one have access to the computer but me).
Today when I was trying to get hold of on in the morning, my computer make all the weave up noises that it generally makes, except the videocard devotee was adjectives the way wound up. Normally during startup the disciple on the card will wind adjectives the way up, afterwards it will go to a slower setting.
The problem is, when it doesnt budge down to the slower speed, my display doesn't pop up on my screen.
I am currently on my computer solely for the 2nd time today, and I hesitate to shut it down.
Is something wrong next to my video card? It is only a bit over 1 year matured (radeon x700 pro agp). Or does the problem lie elsewhere?
I'm relatively sure it's not a virus, as I only downloaded one express doubts since sunday, that was zune software.
Thanks for the support

Answer:
This problem is usually indicative of a failing video card or fan. One style to check is to try reseating the video card. Basically turn off the computer, remove the defence, unscrew the screw holding in the card and remove the card. Use a can of compressed nouns to blow out any dust or debris, making sure not to touch the contacts near your fingers on either the card or the slot. Once you enjoy done this, reseat the card, making sure it is firmly in place.

Another article you can look for is to keep the casing open, but take off everything plugged in and view the fan on the video card to see if it is running properly while the piece of equipment is on. If it is not, you can try hitting it with some compressed nouns to remove dust (which is not that bad an theory for the rest of the PC either).

Lastly (probably not the case, but angelic to do anyway) is to make sure your video drivers are updated to the most recent and greatest. Longshot but never hurts.

Good luck!
yes you're right in suspecting its a virus. in attendance are other things it could be such as too much addware/spyware w/e you wanna call it. could be worms if its moving slower (or idk how worms work exactly but i know they're almost undetectable)
point is something SIMILAR to a virus is cause this. that much i can say short hesitation.

one entity you should know though is that you dont have to download something to achieve a virus. just pop in a web site or submit some information through a form you complete out (i.e. please enter your name here \_________\ ) and you can seize a virus. <3 norton
