Answer:
-Motherboard-
I would recommend the ASUS P5W Deluxe, based on the Intel 975x chipset. This chipset will provide more than ample FSB headroom to take full assistance of an X6800. You can easily spend even more on a motherboard, but near is no need. The Nvidia 680-based boards are great too, but I tend to prefer the Intel chipsets when going next to an Intel CPU.

-RAM-
As for RAM, if price is not object, I would gain 4GB of low latency DDR2-1066 (or better) DIMMs. The lowest latency at this speed is CAS4, so that means you would buy 2 kit of Corsair Dominator DDR2-1111 rated at 4-4-4-12. I alert you that this kit is $610 for 2GB, making the impressive total $1220 just for the RAM (@Newegg). A little too rich for my blood, but you did enunciate both "absolute best" and "NO PRICE LIMIT".

-PSU-
For your requirements, the appropriate and to some extent cliche answer would be a PC Power and Cooling 1KW PSU. This PSU is pricey, powerful and may be a tight fit in your grip. Personally, if I had a similar rig I would gain a high-end Seasonic, maybe the S12-600 or a M12-700W. These are both incredibly quiet and deeply high-quality, but probably not as popular on the ultra high-end as the PC Power and Cooling stripe. $580 @ Newegg
check out here http://www.how2buildapc.com/sample... look at the last computer build, the monster one that is to say one insane system forget the intel 975x chipset they only own crossfire i used an msi 975x on my system only because of my budget. Build an SLI configuration next to a 680i chipset mobo and 2 geforce 8800 graphics cards on SLI that would be a pretty insane computer build.
