How do i know if my processor is 31 or 64 bit...i enjoy this cpu Pentium4 640 (P) HT 3.2 GHz?
Answer:
it's 32 bit
Your processor will support 64 bit processing but ONLY if it's installed surrounded by a 64 bit mobo.
See here http://www.intel.com/products/processor_...
Right click on the my computer icon, click on properties when the windowpane opens click on environmet variables, scroll at system variables, when you see processor if it say X86 it is a 32-bit if not it's 64-bit
You enjoy a Pentium 4 (code name Prescott) 32-Bit
If you are currently running Windows XP on your PC you can determine if the PC have a 32- or 64-bit processor by following these steps:
1. Open the "System Properties" window.
* If your Start menu is the Windows evasion Start menu, click the Start button, then right-click the My Computer statue in your Start menu, and click Properties.
* If your Start menu is configured for Classic Start menu, right-click the My Computer god on your desktop, and click Properties.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Click Environment Variables.
4. In the "System variables" list at the bottom of the Environment Variables fanlight, look for a variable call "PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE". If your PC has a 32-bit processor, this changeable will have a utility of "x86". If it has a 64-bit processor this unfixed will have a efficacy of "x64".
