Answer:
Have you checked what's integrated with the motherboard?

I'd suggest you do that, first.

According to the HP Prduct specs, your system have a TriGem 2002052 (Glendale) mobo; which doesn't have the AGP Connector.

Please check it out at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/siteh...

Please click a dot into into Contact HP and type surrounded by your product number in the dialog box nearby and do next. Asl them and they'll guide you better.

All the best.

Go next to ATI, they r the best
Your motherboard only have a standard PCI slot for expanded graphics, I'm afraid. This is fairly clunky, and will probably cost more money to supply than the computer is worth. Besides, on that monster, you woln't be able to run anything previous maybe Half-Life or CS 1.6. What you want is a unsullied computer, my friend.
was only looking at your comps mother board description at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum...
but am unable to see any AGP slots or PCI-express graphics card slot within that. AM sorry to say but you wont know how to upgrade to a new graphics card unless you renovation your motherboard. hth
Any computer can use a PCI graphics card.

The PCI-E slot is different (low and long compared to a PCI slot) and all PCI-E cards are compatible.

The AGP slot is the really tricky one because in attendance are different voltage cards and they are NOT compatible in some motherboards so be really assiduous if you are selecting an AGP card.
Well the hp site say that the 564a has no PCI-E/AGP connector. However nearby is an integrated graphics chipset which can go up to 48mb which will without a doubt be insufficient for playing good games. So ur gonna hold to buy a PCI graphics card. So go to the following interconnect:

and choose the best graphics card for you.
Personally I would advise any the Geforce FX5500 256MB PCI by 3D Fuzion or the ATi 9250 DDR PCI Video Card.

You can check out the others but mind you, some of the cards are on PCI-E x16. So check the labels of the cards in good health.

May the luck of the Gods be with u!
