Does anyone know anything roughly speaking mics?

Perhaps the mic is muted in your nouns card's mixer settings.
Click on the Start button, then step into the
My Programs | Accessories | Entertainment
menu and run the Volume Control application. The Volume Control application lets you adjust the record and playback volume levels for adjectives the inputs & outputs on your sound card.
Click on the Options menu and see Advanced Controls and then click on Properties. Click on the Recording button and spawn sure all the volume inputs are checked contained by the list box. Click OK and you'll know how to view adjectives the recording volume level for the inputs on your sound card.
Click the 'Select' button for the Mic input and adjust the volume rank. There might be a little button to see 'mic boost' as well. That boosts the input volume plane for mics which are not sensitive.
Run Windows Sound Recorder or another recording program to label sure everything works. The software that you will be using the mic with should also be capable of set the Mic input recording smooth too, so make sure you read the instructions for your software.

If Microphone is not displayed surrounded by V.C., then click Options, afterwards Properties, check mark the Mic box to procure it displayed.
