"usb device not recognized" when I plug my foreign canon camera surrounded by.?
Answer:
I think if you grasp that message, it will give you an opportunity t go online and rummage for the driver to run the camera.
Naturally if you install the CD driver your camera come with you should be fine. But I do muse the windows installer will turn on line for you and poke about for the correct driver.
The problem is, you need to install a driver (cd that come with the camera) onto your computer.
I would enunciate make sure that you enjoy the XP USB 2.0 update installed. If that doesn't work, try another port.
One more thing to check....
did you build this laptop yourself? Is it store bought? If you can, try plugging the camera into one of the USB ports that are on the motherboard (not on the case, or underneath the video card), use the ones by the mouse/keyboard PS2 ports or by the on-board NIC. If this works, whoever connect the "extra: ports may have done it wrong....
Hope this help....
Doesn't the instruction manual hold an 800 number to call for serve? Or a website to go to?
