Can I use a AGP 8X (AGP 3.0) card surrounded by a 2X/4X slot (AGP 2.0)?

I'm upgrading the videocard contained by my computer. The motherboard supports AGP 4x/8x but the card (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as... is 8X.

Yes..it will just run slower.
Check the manufacturer's website to see if it is to the rear compatable.
