Can i hook my computer up to my hd tv and if i can what do i necessitate to procure?

Yes it is possible, but it depends on several things on your computer and your HDTV.
First your HDTV must own and HDMI input which it should have.
Then you must see, on the rear legs of the tower of your computer, look at the video card and see if the output is a DVI port or a VGA port. If it has even one DVI port consequently you are good.
Then you inevitability to go out and buy a DVI to HDMI adapter. Then you lug the cable you plug into the monitor, place the adapter on it and then plug it straight into your tv.
Set your TV to that HDMI input and it should work.

As long as the tv is LCD or plasma you should be able to use your HDMI port. Most laptops hold a HDMI port, i don't know about PC i havent used one within a while.
