I use a presario m2000 laptop. How come when i combine 2 256 MB RAM the system displays 384MB dimensions RAM?

Answers:
the system is sharing 128mb of push with the onboard graphics. you can confirm this by right clicking on the desktop, turn to properties, settings tab, advanced, and adapter tab. this will show how much memory your graphics adapter is using. your laptop graphics adapter is an "intel extreme graphics 2". you should be able to adjust the graphics aperature size surrounded by the bios at boot up, it may say uma instead of video memory. it should hold options from 32mb to 128mb, or possibly 256mb.
