If it wont even run properly when plugged into your computer,yes its adjectives gone.
What may have happen is you may have messed up or broke the parts within side the drive,if its still under warenty you better hope that they cover that open-handed of damage.

If you have access to a verbs room environment and a duplicate hard drive of the EXACT model, after yes probably.

But what you have to do is pilfer is appart then remove the 1 or 2 disks from inside overt another similar or identical drive and replace the disks.
this can be greatly risky and you have to be paid sure that you don't damage the disks surrounded by any way.

Maybe. You can transport the hard drive out of the defence and plug it into another case or right into the computer. The drive itself might be OK.
