I want to diary DirecTV programming near my computer.?

Can someone recommend a device (preferably USB) that will see me to capture (and burn) shows when I am not home. I don't mind departure the receiver on a specific tube, but the software will need to start copy at a specific time. I would also prefer good picture feature. Hard drive space is not a concern.
