My concrete drive is 250 Gigabytes but singular shows as 125 surrounded by window. How do I gain the second space?

I remember it said something in the order of going to control panel etc to get the space but i cant remember how

Answer:
Rather than typing like peas in a pod things as above, I'll just append one more item. Ensure you have the service pack installed, otherwise it may only receive recognized as a smaller har drive.
Make sure you didn't attain ripped off, it sounds close to you may have a 125 GB rock-hard drive.
Actually that's very simple. this problem is because when you created your partation, you created the Primary partation Only! and you forgot to create the extended and logical drivers. which money, you took 50% of your harddisk to be your primary disk. Ok how to solve this:
1) get software specialized surrounded by HardDisks partationing like "Partaion Magic"
2) if you can access MS-Dos, you can use "FDisk" command to create extended partaion
3) reinstall your window (I Assume you are installing Windows XP) and when you create the first partation, DON'T press enter to install the windows surrounded by this partation BUT create the second partation First then hindmost to the first partation to install windows contained by it.
You're probably not running windows xp next to service pack 2. All operating systems before sp2 does not authorize partitions greater than 120 gb.

A speedy fix is to add a second fence to your hard drive by going to control panel>>administrative tools. Click on disk regulation and create new divider.

The best fix is to upgrade to sp2 and then repartition and reformat your tough drive. This will give you the complete space in one drive communication.
what is the brand and made year of your motherboard, Old motherboards are limited to 132 GB dimensions of HDDs, if it is 3 year or more older you stipulation to upgrade your BIOS, if it is available! What is your bios date?Is it ever updated before?
It could be two things:

○Your disk is formatted and partitioned to it's full dimensions, and there's a BIOS or Windows "size barrier" in effect, which obtain updates can remove.

○125GB of space is either unallocated, partitioned, or unformatted. Using a program such as Partition Magic can allow you to reclaim your disk space.
