Why can't I move my 20 GB database backup to my Hard disk if it have 480 GB available?

Answer:
You involve to re partition you drive.
There could be LOTS of reason, we need more details. Do you enjoy write permission etc? Are you trying to export a database using a utility or simply copy and join a .mdf file?
.You are not trying knotty enough.
You can't store the backup surrounded by the same drive as the info you're trying to backup- source and destination can not be like.
What's the error message? Your hard drive might inevitability to be formated as NTFS if its FAT32.
I'm fairly sure that the biggest report on FAT32 is 4GB. If you can convert it to NTFS (also risky) then I judge you can get away near much larger files.
