What are the advantages/disadvantages of a PC over a rugged wired system?

rock-hard wired systems for example are V.C.R, vending machines, washing machines and toasters. In my answer I have need of reference to speed, cost, functionality and versatilty.

Answer:
Cost and versatility favours a PC; it wishes a program to do whatever it suppose do.

Speed and functionality favours strong wired; although you probably can't pull bad and reuse anything from it in a cost-effective agency.

The point is for you to do the research and revise something.
Do you mean sturdy wired like within 10/100 NIC verus wireless. Please restate your question. Your give somebody the third degree is too vague.
A knotty wired system is faster, but pre-programmed. A pc system is slower and must be programmed, but is more flexable. Games consoles enjoy some hard wired systems within then to increase performance.
you are a moron, a laptop has to be easier said than done wired to it's power supply only lateral equipment is controlled by anything else - lap tops enjoy batteries and can walk wire free for terrifically short amount of time (normally an hour or so) then involve hard line back to a power supply or they stop working
please re-state your put somebody through the mill... what are you trying to do? I kindda get the VCR but not the vending domestic device... is perhaps your quiz regarding... usong a PC as a control device software base for othewise hardwired systems...?? is that it?
