do you own software like cyberlink power DVD that plays the films etc, if you own check that the DVD-ROM is working OK, by going in my computer right appendage clicking on the DVD-ROM then Autoplay and move about onto DVD movie and select the software you want to play the DVD. good luck
did you dvd drive come w\ a cd or be it in the laptop when you baut it? you may need to buy a dvd player w\ a decoder.
