LOST MY US ROBOTICS Router disc....NEED TO RECONFIGURE IT...?

then u can read the user guide, and no u dont need the cd to install the router, but its productive.
Sometimes companies send this cd that you hold to use before you setup your router. However you don't other need to, A concern of fact I hold never seen a router that you couldn't configure short connecting to it. I used to program cisco routers. To try and connect to your router go to run type cmd. When the black blind (dos prompt) comes up type ipconfig
it should show your ip address and gateway address. Go to your browser and type the gateway address in this will bring a interface or ask you for a password. Type admin / admin for the username and password. If that dosn't work next you might have to talnet to it. That you can do by going to run type cmd and afterwards typing in the dos prompt talent embark on "gateway adress here"
The CD is basically a wizard. You can reconfigure your router from your browser. Open your browser, type in the IP of your router (the defaulting IP you can find in the instruction book... it is 192.168.2.1 I think, or if you changed it type that IP. PS: it is the LAN IP), type the username and password and next reconfigure your router. Be shore that the network cable is plugged contained by a LAN port and in the PC. If you don't know the username, password or IP address later reset your router to the default settings.
