Which is feasible to be more expensive, a 512-mb DIMM or 512mb RIMM memory module? Why?
Answer:
Last answer is wrong, RIMM is the type used for Rambus RDRAM, a awfully expensive and now pretty much defunct type of RAM. DIMM is standard SDRAM, DDR and DDR2. A 512 DIMM would be much cheaper than 512 RIMM. They are not compatible near each other by the mode.
rimm because thier only for notebook
RIMM is RDRAM which is licensed by the Rambus corporation and is not really used much anymore. For that reason it is plausible to be more expensive.
