1950gt 512MB vs. 1950pro 256MB - Gaming 1680x1050 all-embracing?

Similarly priced, on a core2duo 2G RAM system. What would be better for FPS games resembling Battlefield 2142, and Oblivion. Also, which would be more future proof? Thanks.

I would gain the X1950 Pro. The video memory doesn't make a heck of deeply of difference with those cards. 512MB is more for if you're going to winter sport at 1920x1200+ with AA. And there's no such piece as "future proof" next to computer components, especially with video cards, and even more especially beside DX10 being lately around the corner.
