I'm thinking give or take a few buying a wacom 6x8 grapphire tablet, is it worth good up for?

my friend say it will be a waste of money because poorly get bored of drawing and the tablet will be useless. :[

It's enormously useful if you hold a serious drive to get into the area. It has pressure sentitivity and it's completely precise if you are good at drawing by foot. An excellent investment. Especially if you are studying art currently in college.

However, you may want to consider a much smaller size if you want to doodle closely instead. The smaller ones are much cheaper and are portable for if you want to bring them around with a laptop.

Tablets are fun but can also be serious tools to use. Just ask him to sign a document sometime on the computer. Or touch up a pic.

These aren't bank breakers and do hold resell value.

Anything is a leftovers of money if you don't use it.. tell your BF to capture a life and consent to you have some fun.
