How do i variety it so that when i plug a usb article into my computer, that windowpane that asks what to do will popup

Just a shot...
plug it surrounded by
right click the drive letter
select propterties
look for an "autoplay" tab
select "ask me" on the bottom.
click ok.
correctly remove your <thumb drive?>, linger a few seconds and try it again..
I'm pulling this outta my butt, but make a contribution it a try.
I think within was a xp servicepack 1 issue that cause autoplay not to work too... update your OS.
If your USB device has drivers you should install the drivers past you ever plug the USB device in. Once the drivers are installed the USB device will be handle by XP when it is plugged in.
