Anyone enjoy problems installing a pci-e card into a Machspeed motherboard?
512 mb ddr pc2100
amd athlon 64 3700+
msi mx4000 agp (nvidia)
500 atx power supply
Trying to install jaton px6600 nvdia pci-e card
Machspeed is using what they ring mga slot for their agp cards. I had a mx4000 installed contained by the agp and picked up a 6600 nvidia pci-e to boost my graphics. When I installed it I was not competent to gett to the boot screen. I took out an ati radeon 300se pci-e to oral exam the port and after some playing around with the jumper was competent to get it up and running. I later reinstalled the 6600 and it still wouldn't boot. I test the board on another computer and it works of late fine. Are there any particular problems with nvida's mortal used in machspeed mobos?
Answer:
Who would buy (or make) a mobo beside both interface slots?
Thats quite pointless & stupid.
One wonders why these question are asked on here when the best place to go is to the manufacture website, not only for your benefit but the benefit to others, I would have a sneaking suspicion that Machspeed would like to know something like this problem and also Nvidia so that it could be tested
so please inform them of your hardware problems
Remove the msi mx4000 agp. Use one or the other, not both cards.
