How do i see an AVI format downloaded movie on my computer?

Download a freeware program past its sell-by date the internet called VLC Player. Its availibale for both PC and Mac OS x. It essentially plays every video and music format.
Open Media Player, then embark on the file and press play.

some video players need codecs to play avi files unstop the movie with every medium you have and see what it say and if it cannot play it,it should tell you why and where on earth to go to win the codec.
i recommand realplayer, windvd, cyberlink, wmp 11
VLC player .or download the ffdshow codec and install it and then it will play on wmp ....
