Memory Upgrading for Sony rs320?

The current system have 4 sticks of 256mb DDR pc2700 @ 333Mhz. I'm wondering what my options are, my slots will not embezzle 1 gb sticks, so I can max out with 4 x 512. Can I use pc3200 @ 400 Mhz?

I muse I can and that it is backwards compatible, but then I see adjectives these other things, like single or double sided, soaring and low density, voltage of 2.5 and 2.6. CL ratings 2 to 6, all of which complicates the solution.

I'm looking at this faster strike, not cause of the speed, as I grasp my sysyem, unless overclocked, will restrict it back to 333Mhz. But the defence I'm looking at this is cause of a concord I saw on Newegg. Thoughts on Crucial memory? Thanks for your time and effort/responses in credit, have a great afternoon.

P.S. Bonus question, lol. I know that I enjoy to use DDR memory for memory upgrading, but can I use higher DDR2 or 3 on Video card memory and still be compatible? Thanks again, subsequent.
