Help near my computer?
Answer:
sounds close to you've got any a loose cable or somehow the controller driver is glitched.
Go to Device manager and see if you see a Yellow & Black ! or a Red X beside the IDE ATA ATAPI Controller
Even if it doesn't show these, I'd suggest you Right Click on it and select remove.
Shutdown your computer, NOT Restart, loaf about 2 mins than restart, Windows should find it and reinstall the drivers.
check the connections inside the computer.
Unplug them and plug them pay for in.
depending on your journal of windows you may own plug and play if so it should be as easy as:
shut down
uncap the computer
disconnect the drive
restart the computer
shut down again
plug drive back surrounded by
restart computer again
follow plug and play wizard directions
If you have Windows XP:
Right Click on My Computer and select Properties, consequently select Hardware Tab and Click on Device Manager.
See if drivers for your CD/DVD drives are properly installed and they are not in conflict next to any other resource.
If required, install or re-install the drivers. Though XP should do it automatically for you.
If nothing works, afterwards restore your system back. See Windows backing for further detail.
