it happen to my PC before, i contacted the dell.com, after they replaced it for me. you can call your capitalist to fix the software problem for you.
close your pc...
variety sure all nouns to dvd rom is correct...
start your pc and press DEL to enter bios setup
See if your workstation can detect the dvd rom
Your secondary master and slave should register your cd/dvd rom
name...Make sure it is noy disabled
