Graphics cards?
I know this is one step trailing the leaders of the pack but that is the sweet spot contained by the graphics card market.
By the bearing no dumb *** answers like by a PS3 or Xbox.
Answer:
Definitely the 7900GT, it's more on par beside the Radeon X1800 series.
While Crossfire seems technically more attractive, I don't see the big edge surrounded by actual performance vs SLI. The concrete advantage is that you don't enjoy to used exactly matched cards, so with Crossfire you achieve some benefit from keeping your existing ATI card around when upgrading, whereas with SLI you don't.
Of course it's adjectives moot unless you're building a new system- whichever solution your motherboard supports is the bearing to go. Personally I deliberate Nvidia's cards have more attractive price points- even at the subsequent level next to the 7950GX2 vs the X1950XTX.
Here's the head-to-head comparison of your two choices:
Go for the 7900

I would say buy a PS3, but you said no bull crap. I would travel with something almost every activity will run on. Some game maker only design near games around on brand or the other . so do a little homework earlier you buy.
Good Luck Buying!!!
7900 will last you alot longer but why not turn for the 7950 its nearly the same price and the 7950 out perform the 7900. when it comes to sli you cant beat 2 gpu's working on partially the screen but near direct x10 out I would wait for the 8800's to drop contained by price. if your going to go sli you might a short time ago wait for ati to counter the 8800 i would continue just for the certainty its dx10. when it comes to choosing ati over nvidia its more of a personal pref...
ati = picture
nvidia=performance
