How do I turn on my computer mic?

I know I hold a microphone built into my computer because I have used it up to that time, but now I can't register any sound. I presume it might be turned off and I can't digit out how to turn it back on. Does anyone know how? (I use Windows)

Control Panel>Sounds And Audio Devices>Audio>Sound Recording>Volume>Click The Select Box And You Should Be In Business.........
Double click on the nouns icon surrounded by the bottom of the screen
a menu will overt go to the departed corner click on option next property then put a check on mic little skylight.
Go to control panel
clic sound and divices
click on "Audio" tab and check if the mic is on, trial volume etc, and check as default. also check contained by control panel check "Speech" to see if the mic is working
