I own connected a psp via a usb to my laptop, but still won't connect. What can I do?

When it asks me to scan the message i receive is, No access points were detected. What am I doing wrong

my mini vacumn grand piano thing, plugged into a USB port works a treat. I suspect Interupts, or settinq the IRQ's to different numbers.
Easily done contained by set-up.but be aware of fitting in the wrong numbers.
All could be economically, all could be drastic !
