Telling the computer I own a webcam, how is it done?

I plugged my unmarked Eyetoy USB camera into the computer but I don't know how to tell my computer that I hold it. I remember a little box come up in the bottom right foot corner when I first plugged it in axiom, click here to install hardware, but I exited it and it hasn't come up since.

Answer:
Go to Control panel > Add new hardware and try detecting the unknown hardware. Access the driver from the CD or other medium (incase if its autodetect not needed) and install the hardware.
windows xp plug surrounded by while on
you can start with by truism please.
unplug and restart computer. Do you have a software disk to be in motion with your webcam. It should prompt you for the drivers, etc.
walk to the control panel,
look for the add programs or add/remove
If it's an XP, usually it will automatically authorize new hardware. Have you tried unplugging from the USB port and plugging it put a bet on up? Wait a minute or so before plugging it rear up. That usually works for me.
The most thing is the driver. Driver is the solitary way to share the your high height application that I have some hardware, which can occupation video, and you are supposed to show me it on screen. Drivers are normaly freely available on web. Just search for the drivers on web. Once you installed the drivers, any vidoe capturing software resembling virtualdub, will start capturing from it.
