What is the best process to store CD-Rom disks?
Answer:
Generally, it'd be best to hold them out of direct sunlight (UV rays break down the plastic) and in moderate temperature (basically a place without massive fluctuations similar to 35F at night and 100F surrounded by day). Keep the free of moisture (humidity is ok as long as it doesn't condensate). And keep the free of dust. Other than that, you should probably copy out the info on those cds every 7~10 years. They may own a shelf life of 25 years but the information degrades faster than that. Just stay on the nontoxic side.
blablabla anywhere
Unless your house is wet next to humidity on the inside then explicitly no problem. Keeping them on a shelf in their cases is plenty suitable. The vote really isn't in on how long they concluding because they simply haven't been around long plenty to tell. I currently enjoy some that are 20 years old and they own outlived several players. They are already being replaced next to ipod technology.
I suggest you keep them contained by a Cd case surrounded by a place that is cool and away from direct sunlight. If you are worried just about humidity, buy one of those moisture absorbing pellets/bags/ container that you find in Vitamin bottles, to engage excess moisture.
Isn't DVD and its siblings the new storage medium. I mean beside the blue ray disc technology the DVD can store even more stuff.
You know possibly we will go pay for in time and clean technology for the plain old floppy disc will reemerged or the cassette drive. Who knows
