Is External USB2.0 HardDrive sharing between 2 PCs possible?
There is no documentation I could find on using it as a mass storage/transfer device between multiple PCs.
Thank you .
Answer:
you would be looking for neither. Think of the external HD as a HD. you can save things from one computer onto the hd and afterwards unplug it (be sure to click on safely remove hardware (by the clock) to build sure the drive is stopped before removing it).
It doesn't business; the devices (USB external HD) can be uploaded and downloaded upon.
I would suggest that you install a small home network. Once you install that meet people, you need to see file sharing and share a folder on that external HD so you can access it from the other computer. That would be the quickest and best road.
So, you will need to pick up a router, and framework cards, unless you already have them and some cable and set up your home network, so you can freely share between the two computers.
Other than that, you enjoy to unplug and plug in from one computer and unplug and plug within again to the other computer in decree to transfer big files between the two computers.
