Answer:
Take the association to see how to confirm the model number of your HP Pavilion - fourth entry down in the middle, lower than Product Specifications...
Once you have found your product page, thieve the link for Motherboard Specifications...
In the table on this page find the Graphics Connector. It will be any AGP (4x or 8x) or PCI-e (16x) - probably. I suspect that you may currently be using the graphics which is built into the motherboard...
The requirement appears to be:
64MB 32-bit NVIDIA GeForce 3 or equivalent DirectX 9-compatible
but I would have like to have found that on the Buena Vista Games website...
If you are using the motherboard graphics, and assuming you hold no gaming aspirations I would suggest that a GeForce 6200 would do the job. Whatever you seize, make sure that it is passively cooled (no fan) or the extra boom will get on your nerves...

own passive XFX 6200 128Mb cards for more or less lb22 (PCI-e) and lb30 (AGP). The AGP is more expensive as they're being phased out surrounded by favour of PCI-e.
If you already enjoy a graphics card, as opposed to the on-board graphics - afterwards the 6200 may not be for you... in that armour I'd suggest the Gigabyte 7600GS at lb76 .
Enjoy!
well type of device
version of window
how much can u afford aka budget
location
name of the hobby
etc etc.. all these are needed until that time im going to answer.
you didnt give much detail ... but if its a past due game u probably stipulation a radeon 800xt+ or an nvidia 6800+ that support the latest lighting and shader version ..
Most of the newer cards out there own the requirements you are looking for... as you are into games, I'd go beside a 256 mb, or a 512 mb card. NVidia or ATI are probably the best to pick from... most electronics stores carry them.
u necessitate to buy a graphics card that supports T&L sorry

I can tell you just about the pixel shader thing its a shader model text for direct X 9 C its got three models I, II & III I wont run on the tech. difference between 'em but yeah just for culture remember that games in recent adjectives are all gonna base on shader version 3 so you gotta own card that supports that. I dunno but I feel I havent see an AGP card that supports that shader version.

So you want an express slot ( PCIe ) to work on with such games..If you aint get one on your motherboard mobo you gotta change almost the complete tower than.

try the association below it will really help you out beside shader model & selection of cards ( not too much tech. dont verbs )
