Bought pattern cam. Microphone stopped. Do I hold it surrounded by wrong slot ? Tried both slots. Duh!?

Its out of order in what? You enjoy to have an application that uses it formerly it will work! If you are using a messnger, you may have to set up the audio properties.
Open your volume settings within the control panel and make sure that the mic is not disabled (default).
travel to volume on your control panel and see if the mic is disabled.
