USB problem?

I attached my USB Mouse to the laptop, it works but wasn't time-honoured. Then I removed the device and try my thumb drive, the laptop froze immediately and i couldnt do anything next to it. When I restarted it manually and tried again with the mouse, it still wasnt notorious and with the thumb drive, the laptop froze again. Could someone support me with this problem ?

This is a compatility problem. As you may know nearby are two types of USB - 1.1 and 2.0. If you are using a 1.1 device in 2.0 port it will work. But if you are usingg a 2.0 device contained by 1.1 port it won't work. But you can always upgrade a USB port from 1.1 to 2.0.

Also try installing the device driver of the divergent you are using and then use the device.
the USB mouse would hold come with a driver floppy. try installing the driver first next. use the thumbdrive ina different port.

if problem still persits, call up customer exactness and inform about the problem.
